Capturing life's raw and beautiful moments
I’m Sierra, the photographer behind Untamed Frame. This is a space where raw, unposed moments take center stage.
My work blends years spent in music, caregiving, and animal work, giving me an intuitive sense for connection, timing, and trust. I’m drawn to what’s real, and I photograph it in a way that lets you feel the moment all over again.
The truth is, life’s best shots happen in between the ones you planned.
Years working closely with differently abled children and animals have taught me patience, adaptability, and a deep respect for each individual’s way of moving through the world. I know how to create space for comfort and trust — whether I’m photographing a child who needs time to warm up, a family embracing the beautiful chaos, or a dog with endless energy. My goal is always the same: to capture the honest connection that’s already there.

Music has been woven into my life for as long as I can remember: from training, to performing, to collaborating with other artists, and now photographing live shows and behind-the-scenes moments. I understand the rhythm and flow of a performance, and I know how to anticipate the split-second gestures, expressions, and interactions that make each show unique. My music photography isn’t just about the lights and the stage, but the energy that fills the room.
With a decade behind the camera, my approach is both seasoned and fresh. I spent the better part of a year experimenting — photographing everything from live music to stray dogs — before Untamed Frame became my creative home. I don’t force moments to happen; I’m ready when they do. My style is candid, intentional, and true to life, with colors and tones that reflect the mood and richness of the scene. Every part of my background shapes the way I see through the lens, resulting in images that feel as alive as the moment itself.
